Lead end-to-end development of beauty packaging products, including concept design, CAD modeling, prototyping, validation, and production launch.
Translate marketing and customer requirements into robust engineering solutions.
Develop detailed 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for design reviews, tooling, and manufacturing.
Conduct design evaluations (e.g., FEA, simulated use testing) and document results across EVT, DVT, and PVT stages.
Collaborate with sourcing and quality teams to define specifications and resolve technical issues during NPD and mass production.
Work closely with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and quality.
Support material selection and sourcing activities, ensuring alignment with product performance and aesthetic goals.
Drive technical discussions with suppliers to gather feedback and implement design improvements.
Define and validate product specifications and testing protocols in collaboration with the quality team.
Ensure compliance with global regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks throughout the development cycle.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, or consumer packaging.
Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding, metal processing (die-casting, stamping, CNC), and surface finishing (electroplating, anodization, PVD).
Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for plastic and metal product design.
Experience working in factory environments and with Chinese suppliers is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin is a must.
Willingness to travel frequently to suppliers and manufacturing sites.
