- Job Purpose
Advance the application and integration of engineering technology within the assigned discipline or project portfolio. Deliver expert engineering solutions that improve operational performance, manage risk, strengthen competitiveness, and balance technical, operational, financial, quality, schedule, and safety requirements.
Operate independently at the execution level to analyse complex engineering challenges, develop and implement fit-for-purpose solutions, and provide credible technical advice to stakeholders. Contribute to continuous improvement, research and development, knowledge transfer, and the development of junior engineers while recognising when additional guidance or specialist support is required.
- Key Accountabilities Engineering Solutions & Operational Excellence
- Deliver engineering solutions and technical advice that improve business performance and organisational competitiveness.
- Develop cost-effective technical solutions within agreed quality, schedule, and risk parameters.
- Analyse engineering components, systems, and processes to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Optimise equipment, systems, and processes by balancing technical, operational, and financial requirements.

Technical Assurance & Risk Management
- Lead Root Cause Analysis, Process Hazard Analysis, and Risk Assessment activities.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules, technical procedures, safe work instructions, and inspection reports.
- Identify stakeholder needs and translate them into clear technical requirements and deliverables.
- Define and improve quality standards, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Review and sign off technical work within the assigned discipline to maintain delivery quality.
- Supervise and assess technical work completed by peers, contractors, and consultants.
- Review and develop policies, procedures, standards, methods, and engineering practices where required.
- Monitor process and risk impacts and implement appropriate reporting and corrective actions.
- Promote compliance with applicable technical procedures, specifications, legal requirements, and company standards.
Project & Performance Delivery
- Plan and manage engineering projects in line with agreed targets and business requirements.

- Provide accurate and timely information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete and distribute technical and performance reports in accordance with required standards.

- Provide engineering advice that supports programmes, systems, and business decisions.
Technical Leadership & Capability Development

- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant Engineering discipline.
- Master’s degree in the relevant Engineering discipline may be considered against the corresponding experience requirement.
