Contributing to the performance quality management processes, assists with developing performance improvement strategies, setting and monitoring performance metrics, analyzing data, and collaborating with the Lead Engineer and teams to enhance efficiency and productivity, ultimately driving organizational success and helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Performance Strategy and Planning: Implement performance test management strategies, meet goals and performance benchmarks and metrics. Assist with creation of performance testing scripts and execute scripts.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze performance data to help identify areas for improvement and track progress towards goals.

  • Performance Improvement: Implement solutions to address performance gaps, process improvements, and may assist with delivering training programs.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Work with cross-functional teams to align performance goals and ensure effective implementation of improvement initiatives.

  • Monitoring and Evaluation: May assist with monitoring performance metrics and implementing new solutions to improve metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6-8 years of experience with Performance Quality/Test scripting and execution.

  • Performance Testing Tools/ Scripting: Solid proficiency in using popular performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) - essential for designing and executing performance tests. Experience with AppDynamics.

  • Solid to Strong Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze performance data, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot performance issues is critical.

  • Understanding of System Architecture: A general grasp of system architecture, including networking, databases, and application servers, is vital for understanding the performance characteristics of a system.

  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: The ability to identify the root cause of performance problems and assist with devising effective solutions is a helpful skill.

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): General familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools is useful for integrating performance tests into the development workflow.

  • Test Design: General test design skills are required to help create effective tests that cover critical scenarios.

  • Basic Understanding of Programming Concepts: A general grasp of programming concepts, data structures, and algorithms to assist in performance analysis.

  • Experience with Load and Stress Testing: Experience with various types of performance tests, including load, stress, and scalability testing

  • Basic Understanding of Databases: Understanding how databases work and how to tune their performance

  • Problem-Solving: A good problem-solving mindset – to identify and resolve performance issues.

  • Communication: The ability to clearly communicate performance issues and test results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Collaboration: Working effectively with developers, QA engineers, and other team members - crucial for a smooth testing process.

  • Analytical Skills: The ability to interpret performance data and identify trends and issues.

  • Ability to Work Independently: Strong self-motivation and time-management skills.
