Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all Inspection, Measurement & Test Equipment (IMTE) activities, ensuring full compliance with the Quality Management System, calibration requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Develop and implement IMTE strategies, measurement methods, and validation plans to support product quality, manufacturing excellence, and New Product Introduction (NPI).
Own the complete IMTE lifecycle including selection, qualification, calibration, maintenance, capability evaluation, and continuous performance monitoring.
Define, maintain, and optimize measurement systems to ensure stability, repeatability, reproducibility, capability, and efficiency.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on metrology, GD&T, measurement uncertainty, engineering drawing review, and Measurement System Analysis (Gage R&R, MSA, SPC, FMEA).
Evaluate, select, qualify, and deploy advanced metrology and inspection technologies to support production and technology development.
Drive continuous improvement, digitalization, and automation initiatives for measurement systems, inspection processes, and data analysis.
Maintain calibration systems, metrology laboratories, accreditation requirements, capability studies, and related documentation (SOPs, work instructions, procedures).
Lead and support metrology and IMTE-related projects, including planning, resource coordination, risk assessment, and milestone management.
Collaborate closely with production, quality, engineering, suppliers, and customers on critical product characteristics, measurement correlations, and problem-solving activities.
Support internal, customer, and certification audits related to IMTE, metrology systems, and quality compliance.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in metrology, quality engineering, process engineering, or IMTE management.
Strong hands-on experience managing Inspection, Measurement & Test Equipment (IMTE), including calibration systems, equipment qualification, capability studies, and measurement system optimization.
Strong knowledge of metrology, GD&T, engineering drawing interpretation, and measurement system capability analysis.
Proficient in quality tools such as Gage R&R, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, and laboratory quality requirements.
Experience in project management with the ability to drive initiatives, manage stakeholders, and achieve deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.
ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green Belt, or related certification is an added advantage
