Northrop Grumman has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer to join the KC-30A Engineering & Technical Services (E&TS) team in direct support of NGA sustainment programs. As a Senior Mechanical and Structures Engineer, you will use your strong technical acumen in support of aircraft airworthiness, safety, availability, reliability, maintainability, mission success, and life cycle costs goals. Additionally, you will co-ordinate investigations into aircraft system deficiencies, within your technical discipline while mentoring junior staff.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong technical background, able to build rapport with technicians and engineers.
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical / Aerospace / Mechanical / Electrical / Avionics / Mechatronics)
  • Background in the military would be advantageous; however, industry adjacent experience is also highly valued
  • Knowledge of configuration management, airworthiness regulation, and certification concepts utilised by ADF and/or civil operators
  • Experience as a Professional Engineer or Technician within the aviation industry or demonstrated experience managing the continuing airworthiness of an aircraft type
  • Leadership experience, ideally across multi-discipline teams
  • Experience working on aviation programs essential

As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
