The Senior Engineer, Mechanical is responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and project execution services for MTU engines and associated systems. The role serves as a technical specialist, supporting customers and internal stakeholders to ensure high equipment reliability, operational performance, and customer satisfaction across marine and power generation applications.


What you will be doing:

  • Perform commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of MTU engines and associated systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using a structured problem-solving approach.

  • Execute field service and project activities safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical standards.

  • Support customers with technical expertise and recommendations to optimize equipment performance.

  • Review and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and engineering documentation.

  • Manage site activities and ensure timely completion of service assignments and projects.

  • Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and project updates.

  • Identify opportunities to improve service processes, product reliability, and operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to resolve technical challenges.

  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring when required.

Position requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, or a related Engineering discipline.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on experience in servicing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and project execution.

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, power generation systems, or marine propulsion equipment.

  • Proven ability to handle complex technical issues independently and effectively.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.

  • Excellent communication, customer engagement, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Willingness to travel locally and regionally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MTU engines and systems is a strong advantage.

  • Familiarity with marine or power generation applications is preferred.
