What you’ll do:

"Primary responsibility of this role is Sustaining Engineering (SE) of GEIS products that will help in sustenance of the products present in the international markets. This position responsibilities entails the identification and execution of production plant issues and ensuring to address the concerns related to plant, quality, SCM and customer concerns for Crouse and Bline portfolio products.
It also requires to have strong communication skills, drive, strong engineering acumen with enthusiasm in the product design understanding on the existing products. Ensure product compliance to global design standards like UL,NEMA or any other compliance standard.
Has the good understanding about the Hazardous Locations standard requirement. Complete system / component sizing, designing , simulation and testing activities to meet power distribution and controls panel requirements and Cable galnds products. Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement through Change Management process. Drive the CI culture and identify the "

"Lead the initiative on continuous improvement to increase efficiency of SE team.
Drive Global GEIS team to identify process gaps and implement scalable solutions across GEIS. & create significate CI saving impact though cost avoidance.
Drive , Lead & Mentore ES-Global team SE team to foster DMAIC certification culture & drive CI culture
Lead & drive SE team to Reduced backlog, faster cycle time, and higher productivity through standardized processes for Crouse and Bline portfolio.
Ensures balanced workload, improved quality, and better team efficiency. Leading to stronger delivery performance and increased stakeholder confidence.
Foster & Enable problem solving for SE team by providing solution on customer technical queries, Enovia PLM/PDM issues.
Drive self & team to work with Plant to address customer priority & provide customer centric solution which leafing to build stronger SE special project pipeline.
Build & implement SE strategy to reduce skill specific dependency to ensure business continuity.
Represent GEIS in EIIC level initiatives on Continuous improvement ( e.g. DMAIC EU training, CATs reviewer)
Conduct & Lead need base customized Training solution on product life cycle management for local & global Team."

Qualifications:

BE - Mechanical Engineering
5 to 8 years yrs. Product Design

Skills:

"1. Sound technical knowledge and experience in design and development of Mechanical products like sheet metal products (preferred), cast/machined products, plastic products and relevant product standards such as UL, IEC, etc.
2. Experience must include hands on experience with product cost out from concept to commercialization including and not limited to part detailing and designing, component and material selection, drawing creation, 3D modeling of parts/assemblies and 2D dimensioning and tolerance of parts, prototyping and validation
3.Proven track record of Sustaining Engineering portfolio to o address customer priority & provide customer centric solution. Ensuring the value stream mapping implementation and eliminating the wastes in the process.
4. Create significate CI saving impact though cost avoidance Local and Globally
5. Should be proficient with CI, DMAIC, GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, UL/IEC certification understanding
6. Should have good knowledge on different product design tools environment like CAD, Enovia PLM/PDM issues
7.Understanding of GEIS Industrial products for Crouse and B-Line is needed. to deliver the sustaining and cost deliverables to the business
