Job's mission

As a Senior Engineer, Quality at ASM, you will join the Global Quality (GQ) team and collaborate with manufacturing sites, engineering, and field service teams to meet customer expectations. Your responsibilities include driving manufacturing quality improvements, addressing non-conformances, and implementing quality systems aligned with ASM’s technology roadmap. This role suits those with New Product Introduction experience, strong quality expertise, and a drive for continuous improvement in high-tech manufacturing.

What you will be working on

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Product Quality and Engineering, to manage manufacturing indices for New Product Introduction at production sites.
  • Track and evaluate NPI scorecards, ensuring relevant indices are met for Toll Gate reviews.
  • Lead 8D investigations with internal teams and provide comprehensive reports to the field service team.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and field teams to identify and address non-conformances.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to implement corrective actions and promote continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics to ensure targets are consistently achieved.
  • Conduct product audits as necessary prior to release for shipment, to confirm compliance with quality standards for customers.
  • Manage onsite customer and ISO certification audits and follow up with internal teams on action items until resolved.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Quality Engineering or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing quality
  • Experience in New Product Introduction in a high-tech capital equipment or semiconductor equipment industry
  • Possesses experience in internal audits, certification audits, and/or customer audits.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a global environment.

  • Strong ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely across stakeholders

  • Demonstrated leadership capability to drive cross‑functional teams in quality‑related issues and escalations
