Responsibilities

OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Manufacturing Engineer – Calibration & Test is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving calibration and test processes within product line. This role ensures products meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements through robust calibration methodologies, process controls, and manufacturing support. The engineer acts as the technical expert for calibration operations, driving process stability, yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and operational excellence while collaborating closely with Manufacturing, R&D and Quality.

ESSETIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Own and continuously improve calibration and test processes for products, including performance metrics such as First Pass Yield (FPY), repeatability, reproducibility, cycle time, and compliance with product performance and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production-related calibration issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve calibration procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, yield, throughput, and process stability.
  • Support qualification, validation, and maintenance of calibration equipment and test systems.
  • Analyze process and performance data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Service teams to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements.
  • Train and support production personnel on calibration processes and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Calibration Engineering, or Process Engineering.
  • Experience with precision measurement systems, semi-automated and automated test equipment, and calibration processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, DOE, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in analytical instrumentation, X-ray systems, medical devices, or other high-tech manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.
