Acts as a senior technical liaison between operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, and new product development teams to ensure consistent performance, successful product transfer, and sustainable manufacturing capability.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate existing processes and implement new processes techniques to improve product flow, part quality and first pass yields to reduce product cost and lead time.
  • Lead large-scale process improvement initiatives that require advanced technical judgment, cross-functional alignment, and measurable improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, capacity, and productivity.
  • Works with production personnel to attain 100% on-time shipping performance by eliminating quality issues, design issues, improving capacity on bottle-neck processes and providing continuous support.
  • Partner with production teams to analyze manufacturing performance, quality data, customer feedback, and audit results; resolve systemic process, design, quality, and capacity constraints; and drive corrective actions that improve on-time delivery and prevent recurrence.
  • Analyze complex manufacturing performance trends, customer feedback, audit results, and quality data to identify systemic issues, drive root cause corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement and Lean Six Sigma initiatives that improve safety, quality, flow, yield, cost, delivery, capacity, and productivity while reducing waste and lead time.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing and Facilities to evaluate production layouts and implement facility improvements that optimize workflow, capacity, safety, and output.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness for new product introductions by partnering with development teams, analyzing validation results, qualifying products, processes, and equipment, and completing release-to-manufacturing deliverables that ensure robust, scalable, and capable production.
  • Develop and present capital investment proposals, ROI analyses, and technical recommendations; coordinate the design, purchase, construction, and implementation of equipment, tooling, and fixtures with site leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including routings, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and test specifications, and train production personnel on process setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Champion a safe, organized, and continuously improving workplace through active participation in 6S and Kaizen activities, adherence to established safety practices, and prompt identification and reporting of hazards.
  • Provide technical coaching and mentorship to manufacturing engineers, technicians, and production team members by sharing best practices, reviewing technical work, and supporting skill development.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

  • 5–8 years of progressive manufacturing engineering
  • Hands-on experience in capital equipment or semiconductor manufacturing, including expertise in machining, high-purity welding and fabrication, electromechanical assembly, or ultra-high-purity cleaning processes.
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification or experience
  • Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP/MRP system, including manufacturing master data, BOMs, routings, and production planning
  • Experience developing and maintaining manufacturing process-control documentation, including process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, inspection criteria, and standardized work instructions
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo for tooling, fixtures, layouts, and design reviews
  • Experience with PLM, MES or electronic document-control systems and project-management tools
  • Proficiency with data-analysis and visualization using tools such as advanced Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or JMP
