ABOUT THE JOB
NAB Vietnam is looking for aSenior Manager,Engineer forTechnology, Riskwith strong leadership experience to drive the engineering standards and capabilities across our excitingplatformsIn this role, you willcollaborate with NAB Australiawiththe implementation and the ongoing operations ofmanyIT asset roadmap, support strategy definition, andbe responsible forleading and motivating a multi-disciplinary team of dynamic, highly skilled technical team leads and individuals.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
TranslatetheDomainstrategic ambitions into an integrated roadmap for strategic execution, and drive this from shaping through to delivery
Lead multiple engineering teams acrossDomain to drive outcomes – henceDomain knowledge ofthese areas is desirable.
Work closely withNAB Australia Technology, Risk team,business teams, product owners tovalidaterequirements before and after delivery through showcases and Day 2 production monitoring
Own not just the build, but the runtime of applications in production through active operational support, clearly defined support model with engineers proficient in site reliability engineering
Own and lead the efforts of cyber security updates such as keeping software currency versions up to date, patch infrastructure every sprint
Oversee investment delivery acrossdomaintomaintainalignment betweenDomains, ensure investment is spent effectively, and provide insights on effectiveness and prioritisation of spend
Bridge engineering excellence withRiskdomainexpertisewhile driving strategic technology outcomes
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven people leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to bring out the best in those around you and enable the success of others
You’llbring capabilities to build teams from scratch, nurture their careers, create and lead the vision end to end for Business outcomes
Deep experience in the Australian and/or global banking markets, with detailed knowledge of operating practices, business models, market challenges, bestpracticesand competitive dynamics
Proven capability in managing complex stakeholder relationships, supporting senior leaders to shape their thinking whilst facing into challenging topics
A demonstratedtrack recordof business execution and program delivery, coupled with tenacity and resilience to navigate challenges whilstremainingon schedule
Practical communication skills to translate needs at a strategic and operational level internally and externally, making effective decisions and balancing client, business, and stakeholder needs
You’llhave gravitas in senior leadership forums across NAB, and will be able to quickly secure the trust and respect of executive peers and new and existing stakeholders
Deep thought leadership that secures business leaders’ sponsorship to achieve business objectives
Strong understanding of operational excellence, including SLA ownership, security controls, automation, and AI-enabled engineering practices
Nice to have:
ExposuretoFinancial Institution and Banking knowledge includingrisk domain frameworks
Technical background in Java, Microservices, Data Engineering, and/orDevOpsEngineering
