Our client is currently seeking a Senior Engineer to join their Natural Resources team on a major civil infrastructure project based in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale development delivering critical infrastructure works within the natural resources sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site engineering activities and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal applicant will have a Civil Engineering background and a minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in a similar setting.
Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day site engineering activities across the civil infrastructure project, ensuring smooth delivery of works.
Coordinate subcontractors and ensure all works are completed in line with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Carry out setting out duties and supervise quality assurance procedures and site documentation.
Liaise with project managers, consultants, and design teams to resolve technical issues and implement engineering solutions.
Ensure compliance with all health & safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements on-site.
Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to the wider project team, identifying and mitigating project risks.
Coordinate resource planning, scheduling, and material deliveries to maintain project timelines.
Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
Mentor and support junior engineers and site personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a site engineering or senior engineering role on civil infrastructure projects.
Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and manage site operations effectively.
Excellent understanding of health & safety regulations and quality control procedures.
Experience using surveying equipment, setting out tools, and project reporting software.
Full clean driving licence with flexibility to travel to the project site in Limerick.
