Job Description

The role is responsible for delivering Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions using ETL technologies such as Informatica (IICS/IDMC), Databricks, Spark, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. The individual will lead technical design and development activities, support production deployments, mentor team members, and ensure adherence to Guardian's SDLC, security, and compliance standards. The role requires strong expertise in ETL development, data warehousing, performance optimization, production support, and solution architecture, while also driving automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    ETL & Data Engineering

    • Design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using Informatica (IICS/IDMC), Databricks, and Syncsort.
    • Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading activities for BI and Data Warehouse projects.
    • Conduct impact analysis and provide effort estimations for ETL enhancements and changes.
    • Develop and execute unit test cases for all deliverables.

Database & Query Development

  • Develop and optimize SQL, PL/SQL, Spark SQL, Hive, and Presto queries.
  • Create and maintain procedures, functions, triggers, constraints, and cursors.
  • Perform query tuning and ETL performance optimization.

Data Warehousing & Architecture

  • Interpret and work with conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Design robust ETL architectures focused on data quality, performance, and error handling.
  • Support current-state ("As-Is") architecture and contribute to future-state ("To-Be") architecture design.
  • Evaluate new technologies and conduct proof-of-concepts (POCs).

SDLC & Agile Delivery

  • Execute all SDLC phases including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Follow SAFe Agile methodology and Guardian development standards.
  • Participate in release planning, deployment, migration, and post-production support.

Production Support & Incident Management

  • Provide Level-2 production support and on-call support activities.
  • Troubleshoot ETL failures, application defects, and job abends.
  • Coordinate with DBA, Network, Storage, Scheduling, and User Administration teams for issue resolution.
  • Support warranty and stabilization activities after deployment.

Education and Experience:

Education:B.Tech Computers/MCA

Experience:4 to 6 years in development projects with BI/ DWH background.
