Wood Chennai Office is hiring the candidate for the Senior Engineer in Engineering Systems expertise in SmartPlant 3D Oil & Gas project experience is preferred.
Due to the nature of the projects the sites are spread across Global. Therefore, this role can be based at any of our Chennai offices on a hybrid / remote basis with the expectation of regular travel as required.
The Role
Wood Chennai Office is hiring the candidate for the Senior Engineer in Engineering Systems expertise in SmartPlant 3D The S3D Engineer/Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and supporting the Hexagon data management system. The role ensures efficient handling of engineering data, documents, and workflows across project lifecycles. Oil & Gas project experience is preferred.

Typical responsibilities
- Hexagon S3D Project Set-up & Administration
- S3D Specs Customization
- Isometric Customization & Drawing View Style Customization
- Generate 3D Model Review session, MTO and Clash Reports
- Provide User-Support to all Disciplines

- Expected:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical
- Hexagon S3D Administrator 2 years to 10 years of experience
- Customize / Modify Piping & Cable Tray Specifications, Instruments and Special Components
- Help users to troubleshoot the errors and issues in S3D
- Knowledge in other Hexagon applications will be an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal English language skills
- Needs to be flexible / adaptable and to demonstrate a positive attitude
- Ability to work within a global multicultural team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
