Step into a career with ASM, where cutting edge technology meets collaborative culture.

For over 55 years ASM has been ahead of what’s next, at the forefront of innovation and what’s technologically possible. With more than 4,500 ASMers representing 70 nationalities, our people and our advanced semiconductor devices are playing a crucial role in trends such as 5G, cloud computing, AI, and autonomous driving.  But we’re more than just a tech company. We value diversity, inclusion and sustainability as we strive to make a positive impact on the world. Our development programs help support your growth, shaping your future and pushing the boundaries of innovation to unleash potential.

Job’s mission

As ASM accelerates its global PLM modernization journey, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how our engineers design, build, and innovate. You will guide the evolution of enterprise Teamcenter solutions that power our product development and manufacturing workflows across a global engineering community. Your work will help streamline collaboration, sharpen data quality, and bring next‑generation semiconductor technology to life faster and more reliably.

What you will be working on

  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to translate business needs into scalable PLM and Teamcenter solutions.
  • Support user adoption by guiding use cases, partnering with vendors, and driving enhancements that elevate product capabilities and business processes.
  • Identify opportunities and challenges across current workflows and help shape the PLM technology strategy and roadmap.
  • Maintain, optimize, and evolve Teamcenter configurations, processes, integrations, and supporting tools.
  • Lead complex, multi‑team technology initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in efficiency and engineering experience.
  • Apply project management practices that help teams work more effectively and collaboratively.
  • Use your understanding of PLM architecture—workflows, APIs, runtime behavior, and system characteristics—to build scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Manage PLM processes and tools in an electro‑mechanical environment.
  • Drive integrations and automation with adjacent business systems including Oracle and Agile.
  • Develop and monitor PLM data metrics to maintain stability, data accuracy, and smooth operation.
  • Partner with cross‑functional users to gather insights and enhance product development, manufacturing, and operations workflows.
  • Monitor and enhance Engineering Change processes to support quality and faster cycle times.
  • Define product structure and Bill of Material (BOM) standards that ensure consistent, high‑quality data.
  • Champion continuous improvement across PLM processes and lifecycle governance.
  • Collaborate with developers to scope and implement new features that support evolving business needs.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and guidance to promote PLM best practices and adoption.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive ongoing improvement within PLM and engineering systems.

What we are looking for

  • BS + 8 years, OR MS + 4 years, OR PhD with relevant experience in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering fields.
  • Extensive experience implementing Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions including configuration, setup, upgrades, and solution design.
  • Experience leading requirements gathering, fit‑gap analysis, functional design, system testing, solution delivery, and user acceptance.
  • Experience leading at least one full Teamcenter implementation in a complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands‑on experience with Teamcenter modules, BMIDE, ITK, and AWC development.
  • Experience supporting PLM processes within an electro‑mechanical product environment.
  • Experience integrating PLM with enterprise applications such as Oracle and Agile.
  • Experience partnering with design engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to drive improvements.
  • Experience improving Engineering Change processes and lifecycle governance.
  • Experience defining product structures and BOM standards.
  • Ability to deliver training and support ongoing PLM adoption.
  • Understanding of PLM architecture including workflows, APIs, and system behavior.

What sets you apart

  • Experience with PLM and 3D CAD in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with NPI lifecycle management, BOM configuration, and engineering change processes.
  • Experience developing PLM metrics and dashboards.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed engineering teams.
  • Experience leading modernization or transformation initiatives within PLM or Engineering IT.

About ASM

At ASM, we’re shaping the future at the atomic level. We enable the next generation of microchips by empowering leading semiconductor manufacturers with advanced wafer processing equipment.

Through our mastery of thin-film deposition, we create the innovative tools and solutions that shape the materials at the heart of tomorrow’s technology – powering everything from AI and next-generation healthcare to cloud computing and smarter, more energy-efficient devices.

With over 4,600 people representing more than 60 nationalities across 15 locations worldwide, we’re united by one ambition: to stay ahead of what’s next. And with research centers in seven countries and nearly a quarter of our people and profits devoted to research and development, excellence is our baseline, not our finish line.

Our pioneering thin-film deposition technologies – like atomic layer deposition, epitaxy, silicon carbide, chemical vapor deposition and vertical furnaces – help our customers push the limits of performance, speed, and efficiency. Our strong patent portfolio, flat organization, and agile way of working enable fast collaboration, global mobility, and a competitive edge far beyond our scale.

Every day, we work to make integrated circuits smaller, faster, more energy-efficient, and more powerful. Together, we’re advancing technologies that unlock new potential and improve lives.
