Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the delivery of civil infrastructure projects from their office in Blackrock, with the flexibility of three days working from home. This hybrid role involves overseeing the design, coordination, and execution of large-scale infrastructure works, ensuring technical excellence and project efficiency. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Oversee technical reviews, approvals, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient delivery.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and review engineering documentation, reports, and specifications.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
• Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld throughout project execution.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of drainage, roads, utilities, and site development.
• Proficient in design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment.
