Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor, in Galway, Ireland. This role involves working on an exciting project with a duration of over 2 years, focusing on the construction of a large scale Educational Upgrade project in the heart of Galway, with further projects to follow in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to the Project Manager and the wider team.
• Liaise daily with the project team, design team, and subcontractors.
• Conduct technical verifications of civil engineering designs, models, and drawings.
• Implement QA procedures, including concrete pre/post pour checks, RFIs, and resolving technical issues.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring safe working practices on site.
• Monitor and record materials, plant, and logistics.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping and reporting.

Specific Requirements:

• Relevant third-level degree.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience.
• Previous experience with a Main Contractor.
• Experience on building projects such as high-rise, residential, commercial, etc.
• Excellent IT skills, including knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
