1. Field Diagnostics & Complaint Analysis
Lead the technical investigation of field complaints related to Engine (Diesel & Gasoline).
Perform & Analyze the Engine & its peripherals related field issues regarding hardwares & software logics.
Correlate the functions of all ECU with the EMS ECU logics to understand the close looping behaviours.
Perform in-depth diagnosis using CAN/LIN analysis tools, vehicle diagnostics software, and ECU data logs.
Conduct failure analysis on returned parts and coordinate with design and quality teams to identify root causes.
Create structured diagnostic reports summarizing problem statements, test results, root cause findings, and proposed countermeasures.
2. Technical Support & Issue Resolution
Provide on-site technical support to field service teams, dealerships, and customer engineers.
Collaborate with design, software, and hardware teams to implement temporary and permanent fixes.
Support software re-flash, calibration, and validation activities to verify corrective measures.
Develop and validate diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), service tool parameters, and fault trees for service diagnostics.
3. Product Development & Continuous Improvement
Feed field data and root cause analysis insights back into R&D for design improvement.
Support diagnostic function design, failure mode simulation, and validation during new product development.
Contribute to design reviews with a focus on serviceability, diagnostics, and robustness.
4. Cross-Functional & Customer Interaction
Coordinate with manufacturing, supplier quality, and service engineering teams to align technical resolutions.
Participate in customer meetings, field audits, and joint investigations to represent R&D.
Support preparation of technical documentation such as Diagnostic Strategy Guides, Service Manuals, and Field Fix Bulletins.
BE with 3-6 years of preferable experience in automobile industry
