Sysco LABS’ enterprise technology is present in the end-to-end foodservice journey, enabling the sourcing of food products, merchandising, storage and warehouse operations, order placement and pricing algorithms, the delivery of food and supplies to Sysco’s global network and the in-restaurant dining experience of the end-customer.

The Opportunity:

We are currently on the lookout for SeniorEngineers-DevOps - tojoin ourteam.

Responsibilities:

• Researching,evaluatingandrecommendingDevOps tools in multiple technologiesfor multiple development teams

• Deploying, automating,maintainingand managing AWS cloud-based production systems, to ensure the availability, performance,scalabilityandsecurity ofproductionssystems

• Building, releasingand configuration management of production systems that need to be supported 24* 7 uptime

• Ensuring critical system security usingthebest-in-class cloud security solutions

• Coaching development teams in DevOps practices and guiding the team to implement effective DevOps

• Workingcollaboratively in a cross-functional team in an Agile delivery environment

• Beinginvolvedinprojectsthroughouttheir full software lifecyclefrom development, QA,anddeployment,to post-production support

Requirements

• ABachelor’s Degree in Computer Scienceor equivalent,and 2-4years of experiencein DevOps

• A strongknowledge ofAWS cloud computing andAWSDevOps tools

• Strong knowledge in fundamental DevOps tools such as AWS DevOps tools, Terraform, Jenkins,GoCD, GitHub, Nagios, Chef etc.

• Strong knowledgeon containerization of software packages using solutions such asDockerization,Kubernetes,AWS ECSandAWSFargate,etc.

• Hands-on experience designing, developing,testingand troubleshootingDevOps toolsinproduction systems

• Adherence to engineering standards, best practices– mustbe process-oriented

• Strongcommunicationskills– readingandcomprehendingdocuments/specifications, producing clear and thorough documentation,and theability to discuss and explain technical issues during meetings

• 1+ years of experience withat least onedynamic object-oriented programing language like Groovy, Ruby orPython;Experiencewith a programming language like Java, C#, Node.jsJavaScriptand related web frameworks will be an added advantage
