Design and develop Foundation Brake systems and components in line with vehicle performance requirements.
Perform system design calculations for brake systems, vehicle dynamics, and brake performance optimization.
Conduct engineering calculations for fasteners and critical interfaces.
Support benchmarking activities and cascade system-level targets into component-level specifications.
Prepare and maintain DVP (Design Verification Plan) and DFMEA documents throughout the product development lifecycle.
Coordinate with CAE teams for simulation-driven design optimization and correlation of analysis results with physical testing.
Review and approve supplier and in-house engineering drawings as per design standards.
Drive technical and manufacturing feasibility discussions with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Interface with Material Management and Procurement teams to ensure timely development and sourcing of components.
Develop rig-testing plans and validation strategies to establish durability and performance confidence.
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of development, testing, and field-related concerns.
Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and lightweighting initiatives without compromising quality and performance.
Prepare and review tolerance stack-up analyses to ensure robust assembly and functional performance.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, testing, purchasing, and supplier teams for successful product development and launch.
