Job Description
Seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Lead - Costing to manage and drive the overall costing function for engineered
products/manufactured components. The role involves ensuring accurate cost estimates, supporting pricing decisions, and improving
profitability through strong cost governance. (leading a small team may be preferred)
Key Responsibilities
ï· Review and prepare cost estimates for RFQs, tenders, based on IS & Pre-Engg technical inputs.
ï· Analyse drawings, BOMs, and specifications to build accurate cost models.
ï· Validate material prices, machining/fabrication hours, overheads, and subcontracting costs.
ï· Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Planning, and Sales.
ï· Maintain updated costing databases and conduct costvariance and shouldcost analysis.
ï· Provide pricing insights and support management during negotiations.
ï· Drive continuous improvement in costing processes and tools.
Requirements
Required Experience & Skills
ï· 8–12 years of experience in Cost Estimation / Cost Engineering / Manufacturing Costing.
ï· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.),Materials & its relevant
requirements.

ï· Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specs.
ï· Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / IFS) and MS Excel.
ï· Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
ï· Ability to manage pressures of tight RFQ timelines.
Education
ï· B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering.
ï· Any certification related to estimations or analytical tools(preferable)
