The Role

We’re seeking a talented Senior Engineer - Bridges & Structures to join our Perth team, working closely with a group of highly skilled specialists across our national business.

This is more than just a design role — you’ll play a key part in delivering transport infrastructure projects, contributing technical expertise, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs, and supporting the successful delivery of complex engineering outcomes.

You will work across a range of projects, ensuring high-quality design, effective collaboration, and strong project performance, while helping drive both technical and commercial outcomes for the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structural analysis and design in line with technical standards, client requirements, and SMEC expectations
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure quality, timeliness, and coordination of deliverables
  • Support the successful delivery of projects, contributing to commercial outcomes and overall team performance
  • Apply project management principles to manage assigned tasks and meet project objectives on time and to the required standard

About You

You are an experienced structural engineer with a strong background in transport infrastructure design. You bring a collaborative approach, a focus on quality delivery, and a track record of working effectively within engineering consultancy environments.

You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, leading to membership of Engineers Australia (or equivalent)
  • Progression toward, or attainment of, Chartered / Certified Professional Engineer status
  • 6+ years’ experience in structural design, ideally within transport infrastructure projects
  • Technical experience across highway and/or rail structures, including bridges and retaining walls
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and contribute across multiple projects
  • Strong written and report writing skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within culturally diverse and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with bridge / structural inspections or willingness to develop these skills
