Senior Engineer - Asset Lifecycle Management

What you’ll deliver

As a Senior Engineer – Asset Lifecycle Management, you will act as the technical authority for assigned asset classes and engineering systems, ensuring assets are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle to maximise safety, reliability, performance, resilience, and value.

  • You'll develop and maintain engineering standards, technical specifications, and asset lifecycle management requirements for MEP and infrastructure assets across Dubai Airports' facilities and operational environments.
  • You'll define, review, and approve maintenance strategies, asset criticality assessments, and spare parts philosophies, ensuring alignment with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • You'll conduct structured asset condition assessments, asset health evaluations, and performance reviews to support risk-based maintenance, lifecycle forecasting, and evidence-based investment decisions.
  • You'll compute and maintain Remaining Economic Useful Life (REUL) for assigned assets using established asset management methodologies and algorithms, ensuring accurate updates within the Condition Assessment Tool, Maximo, and other relevant asset management systems.
  • You'll calculate and maintain Current Asset Value (CAV) annually based on elapsed life, REUL, approved depreciation rates, and replacement cost information derived from the Capital Asset Replacement Value (CARV) framework.
  • You'll develop long-term asset lifecycle strategies and intervention plans, including replacement, re-life, refurbishment, and lifecycle extension initiatives, based on asset condition, criticality, performance trends, risk, and whole-life cost considerations.
  • You'll support the development of asset replacement and renewal budgets, collaborating with Engineering Services stakeholders to prioritise interventions, secure funding, and monitor delivery of approved programmes.
  • You'll lead and support the delivery of asset replacement, refurbishment, and renewal projects within live operational environments, ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations while maintaining safety, compliance, and stakeholder requirements.
  • You'll drive improvements in asset reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost through data-driven recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You'll specify technical standards and requirements for new and existing assets, contributing to design reviews, upgrades, asset renewal programmes, and capital project decisions.
  • You'll maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of asset information through asset registration, tagging, cataloguing, and lifecycle data management for all new, replaced, and existing assets.
  • You'll coordinate the technical acceptance, commissioning, and handover of new facilities and assets into Engineering Services, ensuring compliance with asset management standards, maintenance readiness requirements, and governance processes.
  • You'll ensure technical compliance and performance of contractors, including adherence to Dubai Airports' standards, maintenance plans, and safety requirements.
  • You'll identify risks, dependencies, and issues that may impact other projects or programmes across the wider Dubai Airports portfolio and proactively communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
  • You'll collaborate with stakeholders to share updates on technical standards, statutory requirements, and emerging risks affecting asset performance.

What you bring

  • You'll be educated to Diploma or bachelor’s degree level in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, or a related Engineering discipline, with 7-10 years' relevant experience for Diploma holders and 5-7 years' relevant experience for Bachelor's degree holders in Asset Management, Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or Asset Lifecycle Management.
  • You’ll have knowledge of one of the applicable engineering systems (e.g. HVAC, Mechanical Systems
  • You’ll have knowledge of Maximo CMMS from user point of view & Company Asset and Work Management processes Developmental training

  • You’ll have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions through data, logic, and sound engineering judgment.

  • You’ll possess effective written and verbal communication skills in English, with the confidence to engage and influence technical and operational stakeholders

  • You’ll have exposure to aviation, airport operations, transport infrastructure, utilities, or similarly complex operational environments (preferred).
