What you’ll do

Production Planning & Control: Lead both long-term and short-term production planning efforts, ensuring alignment with sales forecasts and capacity constraints. Daily activities include scheduling orders, monitoring production progress, and adjusting plans to meet targets. Success means achieving production and sales goals consistently with minimal delays. Travel requirements are minimal, primarily onsite presence.

• Material Requirements & Scheduling: Manage material requirement planning (MRP) processes and resolve exception messages promptly to avoid production disruptions. Coordinate order scheduling and maintain safety stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between business functions such as supply chain, production, engineering, and sales to respond effectively to changes in customer demand and production capacity.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track customer On-Time Delivery (OTD), plan versus actual production, and sales numbers. Prepare monthly stock forecasts, analytics, and end-of-month reports to support decision-making.
• SAP Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for SAP PP module issues, ensuring system accuracy and reliability in production planning activities.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the SIOP team to prepare annual sales budgets and forecast monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly production plans.
• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring

Must-haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7-8 years of experience in production planning and control.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP PP module, MRP, and exception message resolution.
• Proven ability in material requirement planning, order scheduling, and capacity planning.
• Excellent coordination skills with cross-functional teams including supply chain, production, and sales.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in preparing sales budgets and production forecasts in coordination with SIOP teams.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting SAP issues related to production planning.
• Knowledge of safety stock management and inventory analytics.
• Prior experience working in a manufacturing or mining technology environment.
