Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 18, 2026

Work set up: Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Senior Engineer to support the development and enhancement of customer-facing identity and commerce platforms within a global streaming technology environment. This role will contribute to delivering seamless customer experiences across multiple streaming services, supporting customer acquisition, authentication, account management, and third-party integrations. The successful candidate will work within a distributed international team and leverage modern web technologies to build scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain customer-facing applications using React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Build scalable solutions supporting identity, authentication, and commerce platform capabilities.
• Implement integrations with third-party partners and in-app purchase platforms.
• Develop and maintain GraphQL services and APIs.
• Apply test-driven development practices to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Create and execute unit tests and automated test suites.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and platform teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools including Jenkins and Concourse CI.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, testing, and adherence to engineering standards.
• Contribute to the development of self-service customer account management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing modern web applications using React.js and Next.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js development.
• Experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs and services.
• Demonstrated experience with unit testing and test-driven development methodologies.
• Familiarity with agile software development practices and frameworks.
• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Concourse CI.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, including Microsoft Playwright.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and code quality standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within distributed and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance
