– Senior Engineer (Production – Topcon Solar Cells)

The Senior Engineer will support the setup, installation, and smooth operation of Topcon solar cell production lines. The role involves hands-on process engineering, troubleshooting, optimization, and supporting greenfield projects from equipment installation to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in end-to-end production of Topcon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) solar cells with focus on yield, quality, and stability.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and tool qualification during greenfield facility setup.
• Conduct daily monitoring of process parameters, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize process steps such as wafer cleaning, diffusion, passivation, and contact formation to improve cell efficiency.
• Coordinate with R&D and engineering teams for trials, new tech adoption, and scaling pilot processes.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards across all operations.
• Prepare documentation, SOPs, and maintain accurate production records.
• Troubleshoot production-line issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or related fields.
• 3–6 years of experience in solar cell production; exposure to Topcon/HJT/PERC preferred.
• Strong understanding of photovoltaic manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with process control, troubleshooting, and quality systems.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
