General Summary:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

You will be joining Neural Signal Processor (NSP) SDK team developing SDKs, IDE plugins and development tools for our customers to deploy their solutions on our SoC platform. In this role you will utilize your experience with software and scripting languages and UI packages to develop innovative Compute SDK and IDE features to enable customers to deploy high-performance and low-power embedded multimedia and AI algorithms on our SoC platforms. We’re looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in building open, modular, and scalable SDKs, IDE plugins, and tools using TypeScript/JavaScript, Python and C/C++ programming languages for Visual Studio Code, Eclipse Theia, IntelliJ CLion, and other development environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the development of IDE plugins and development tools for our customers to deploy their solutions on our SoC platforms.
• You will work closely with other BUs and OEMs in understanding their requirements and adding/enhancing features of Compute SDK and IDE software components
• You will be collaborating across internal teams in developing/integrating software development tools with IDEs by writing open, modular, scalable, and optimized plugins.

Skills/Experience

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in software development (for Senior software engineer positions), or 2 years (for software engineer positions) - we are looking for both Senior software engineer and software engineer positions, for both positions apply in this page
• Strong problem-solving skills and proven experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5/CSS, and modern frameworks such as Svelte, Angular, React, or Vue
• Experience in developing reusable APIs using Node.js, Python or C/C++
• Proven skills in CMake/other build systems customization and performance improvements
• Experience in developing automated testing infrastructure using Mocha test framework for continuous verification of features.
• Demonstrated ability to complete complex projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• Prior development experience on Mobile platforms such as Android, IOS, Windows, embedded Linux
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and workflows.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into applications or APIs
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts (LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, RAG etc.)
• Exposure to edge AI or deploying models in resource-constrained environments will be an added advantage.

Preferred

• Prior experience in development of Compute SDKs and IDE plugins for Visual Studio Code, Eclipse Theia, IntelliJ CLion, and/or other IDE projects (either as a committer, contributor, or community manager) is a plus.

• Prior experience in development/enhancing Debug Adapter Protocol (DAP), Language Server Protocol (LSP) and LLVM toolchain for custom architectures is a plus
• Prior experience in developing with multiple programming and scripting languages, SDKs, and being able to deep dive into any part of the stack and fix/root-cause issues.

Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills are Required

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with collaborative work experience across geographical regions.

· Proven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked agile environment and be excited to learn/explore new technologies.

· Self-starter who likes to be challenged and solve tough complex issues
