Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their team on a large-scale residential development project based in Cherrywood, South Dublin This is a key role within the project team, responsible for overseeing engineering activities and ensuring the successful delivery of works to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience managing complex civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and manage engineering works on-site to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
2. Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain schedules and budgets.
3. Review technical drawings and specifications, providing input where necessary.
4. Monitor progress and quality of works, implementing corrective actions as required.
5. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
6. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports and risk assessments.
7. Assist in planning and resource allocation for project phases.
8. Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions promptly.
9. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong communication and project alignment.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally on large-scale residential projects.
3. Strong understanding of construction processes and regulatory compliance.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
6. Full, clean driving license.
