We are seeking a Engineer, Senior to support the US Air Force in Washington DC. This position supports engineering matters for AQR with responsibilities for planning, programming, and budgeting efforts for the Air Force Science and Technology (S&T) portfolio, as well as the Air Force experimentation, prototyping, development planning, and technology integration programs. AQR serves as the Air Force S&T Executive, Air Force Acquisition Chief Engineer and Technical Authority, the Air Force Corrosion Control and Prevention Executive, Air Force Standardization Executive, and functional manager for the scientist and engineer (S&E) career field and establishes engineering policy and guidance for Air Force systems, subsystems, and end-items.
**This position is currently telework eligible due to COVID, with in person meetings happening approximately 3-4 days per week. When the Pentagon re-opens fully, this position may be 100% onsite.
The tasks for this position include:
Qualifications:
Active Secret Clearance
Masters’ degree in an Engineering speciality.
A minimum of 10 years of acquisition systems engineering experience.
A strong understanding of the Air Force planning, programming, budget, and execution (PPBE) process.
