Transportation Electrical Construction & Maintenance unit is seeking one Senior Engineer This unit is responsible for the maintenance, construction, and management of traffic control devices and traffic management systems, as well as the management of the Street Lighting Agreement and pedestrian‑scale lighting.
Reporting to the Manager, Transportation Electrical Construction & Maintenance, the Senior Engineer is accountable for Capital Construction of Traffic Control Signals, Devices and Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS). The role provides technical leadership, project and contract management, and people leadership, while ensuring compliance with City standards, legislation, and best practices.
The position directly supervises unionized and non‑unionized staff, providing both technical direction and performance management, and acts as a senior technical resource within the Division.
