Senior Engineer I - FPGA Solutions

Microchip FPGA Business unit offers FPGA device families suited for secure, power-efficient compute in a wide range of applications within Imaging, Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial Automation, Automotive, Aerospace and Defense, Wireline Access Networks & Cellular Infrastructure.
The FPGA solutions team builds high speed communication protocol based solutions for Microchip FPGA products. Team develops solutions for 5G (eCPRI), ONT (PON, OLT, SFP+), TSN (SyncE, PTP), Ethernet based solutions, Industrial automation (EtherCAT), Proprietary protocol (Litefast), DDR (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4, DDR5, LPDDR5) based solutions, and takes up new solutions development as industry needs evolve. FPGA solutions development includes defining architecture of the solutions, developing, and/or enhancing necessary IPs based on standard specs, writing RTL code, simulations and validating the solutions on hardware to meet compliance standards where applicable.
This position is an excellent opportunity for someone willing to work on the latest technologies and play a critical role in providing a roadmap for fpga solutions The individual will work on developing high speed communication protocol based solutions development for the Microchip FPGA products. The individual must have strong RTL (VHDL/Verilog) coding skills, digital design concepts and system level understanding. In addition, the individual must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand, multiple-deadline driven environment.
