A Day in the Life

We are seeking an experienced Employee & Labor Relations (ELR) professional to partner with employees and leaders across the organization on a broad range of employee and labor relations matters. This role serves as a trusted advisor to all levels of management, providing guidance that is aligned with Medtronic’s policies, practices, values, and applicable labor legislation.

You will provide both strategic and hands-on support across workplace investigations, performance management and disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, employee transitions, restructuring, labor relations, crisis management, and other complex employee relations matters. You will also proactively identify workplace trends and opportunities, using data and insights to strengthen the employee experience, address organizational needs, and minimize risk. A key component of this position is developing and leading proactive employee and labor relations strategies that foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. The role will collaborate closely with HR, business leaders, Legal, and other key stakeholders to effectively navigate complex people matters and drive thoughtful, consistent outcomes.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Counsels and provides partnership to employees and all levels of management across the full spectrum of employee relations matters in alignment with our practices, policies, and local labor legislation.
• This work includes proactive workplace initiatives and strategies; workplace investigations and internal reviews; performance improvement and discipline processes; end of employment/restructuring; labor relations; crisis management; and, general employee relations coaching and conflict resolution.
• Develops and leads proactive employee and labor relations strategies to contribute to a positive work environment by leveraging data, addressing areas of opportunity and minimizing risk.
• Plays key leadership role in restructuring initiatives, resulting in employee transitions.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• May have practical knowledge of project management.
• Requires a Bachelor degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Experience of working in an Employee & Labour Relations role

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik: Netherlands: 64,560.00 EUR - 96,840.00 EUR | This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
