Senior Employee Relations Manager

Location: High Wycombe (2/3 days per week on-site)

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Employee Relations Manager to join our People Team and play a key role in delivering a high‑quality, proactive HR advisory service. If you’re confident handling complex ER matters, enjoy coaching others, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, this role offers the chance to make a real impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as deputy to the Head of People Advice and lead the team in their absence
  • Provide expert guidance on complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, and capability
  • Advise on high‑risk matters such as whistleblowing, settlement agreements, TUPE, redundancy, and tribunal preparation
  • Oversee the People Advice phone line, inbox, and business change requests
  • Build strong relationships with managers and leaders across the business
  • Analyse ER data to identify trends and support proactive interventions
  • Mentor People Advisors and support onboarding
  • Deliver ER training and contribute to policy development

What You’ll Bring

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Significant ER experience in a complex, fast‑paced organisation
  • Experience in a unionised environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgement
