Senior Cybersecurity Analyst – Embedded Automotive (Continuous Monitoring)

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to support continuous cybersecurity monitoring activities for embedded automotive systems such as Braking Systems, Steering Systems, and Air Treatment Systems

In this role, you will ensure that cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents are identified, analyzed, and managed throughout the entire product lifecycle, in compliance with ISO/SAE 21434 You will act as a senior cybersecurity Analyst, working closely with system engineers, software teams, and cybersecurity architects.

This position is ideal for a professional with a strong embedded systems background, solid cybersecurity analytical skills, and experience in automotive product development

Key Responsibilities

Cybersecurity Monitoring & Lifecycle Support

  • Perform continuous and event driven cybersecurity monitoring for embedded automotive products
  • Track and analyze cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities relevant to series production systems
  • Ensure cybersecurity monitoring activities are maintained until end of product support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and evidence required for audits and assessments

Vulnerability & Risk Analysis

  • Analyze vulnerabilities (e.g. CVEs) and assess their relevance to company’s embedded systems
  • Evaluate cybersecurity risks considering system architecture, exposure, and operational context
  • Support Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) updates based on monitoring results
  • Provide risk‑based recommendations to support mitigation and decision‑making

Incident Management & Event Evaluation

  • Support cybersecurity incident handling and event evaluation activities
  • Perform impact analysis for suspected or confirmed cybersecurity events
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and follow‑up actions
  • Ensure lessons learned are reflected in ongoing monitoring activities
  • Create technical reports of incidents and communicate with customers.

Embedded Systems & AUTOSAR Analysis

  • Analyze cybersecurity implications in embedded architecture and AUTOSAR‑based software
  • Support engineering teams by translating cybersecurity findings into technical insights
  • Review software behavior and system interactions from a security perspective

Cybersecurity Monitoring Toolchain ownership

  • Define proposal on how to improve our cybersecurity monitoring toolchain to improve efficiency and fulfill market and customer demands.
  • Integrate developed packages into our existing cybersecurity monitoring tool chain.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a senior technical reference for cybersecurity monitoring topics
  • Mentor junior cybersecurity analysts and support capability building
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including system engineering, software development, validation, and cybersecurity architecture
  • Support internal and external audits related to ISO/SAE 21434 compliance
  • Improve and Maintain Cybersecurity Monitoring Process

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field

Experience & Skills

  • 5–7+ years of experience in automotive, embedded systems, or product cybersecurity
  • Hands‑on experience with ISO/SAE 21434, especially post‑production and monitoring activities
  • Strong understanding of embedded automotive E/E systems
  • Programming knowledge:
    • C / C++ (analysis level required)
    • Python (intermediate level required)
  • Experience working with or analyzing AUTOSAR Classic‑based systems

Cybersecurity Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of:
    • Vulnerability management
    • Threat modeling and risk‑based analysis
    • Secure development principles for embedded systems
  • Ability to assess cybersecurity topics in resource‑constrained embedded environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automotive cybersecurity validation or penetration testing
  • Familiarity with UN R155 / UN R156
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (conceptual level)
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, CISSP (optional)
  • Experience with AI technology to automate cybersecurity event analysis
  • Programming knowledge:
    • Web development (intermediate level: HTML, JavaScript, CSS frontend; Python, IIS backend)
    • Basic level of database knowledge (e.g. MS SQL)
