Job Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for avionics, flight control, and aerospace systems. Implement software for real-time systems, ensuring low latency and high reliability of critical functions. Collaborate with system engineers to translate control algorithms and requirements into embedded code.
Integrate software with hardware systems and conduct testing to ensure functionality, performance, and safety compliance. Develop software aligned with standards such as DO-178C and DO-254. Optimize code for memory, power efficiency, and performance while following best practices.
Maintain documentation including software design, code, and test results. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as hardware, systems, and QA for seamless integration. Identify and resolve defects, anomalies, and performance issues through debugging and analysis. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry practices.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded software development, preferably in aerospace or safety-critical domains. Strong hands-on expertise in C and C++ for embedded systems. Experience with microcontroller architectures such as ARM or STM32 and low-level hardware interfacing.
Technical Competencies
Strong expertise in C/C++ programming and embedded systems development. In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers and hardware interfacing. Solid understanding of real-time operating systems and real-time design principles. Experience with communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
