
The Senior Electrical Technical Engineer is responsible for providing advanced technical expertise in electrical engineering, guiding project teams, and ensuring the successful implementation of electrical systems. They lead the design, analysis, and troubleshooting of electrical components, contributing to the efficiency, safety, and innovation of projects. Additionally, they collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet client needs and industry standards.
Lead the design and development of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including engineers, designers, and technicians, throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct detailed electrical engineering analyses, such as load calculations, voltage drop studies, and short-circuit analyses, to optimize system performance and reliability.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand project requirements and develop innovative electrical solutions that meet their needs.
Review and approve electrical design documents, including drawings, calculations, and specifications, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform site inspections and audits to assess the installation and operation of electrical systems, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
Oversee the commissioning and testing of electrical systems, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance requirements.
Provide technical support during construction, troubleshooting electrical issues, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to resolve them promptly.
Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in electrical engineering, incorporating them into project designs to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Mentor junior engineers and provide training on electrical engineering principles, software tools, and industry standards to support their professional development and growth.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
In-depth understanding of electrical engineering principles, theories, and practices, including power distribution, circuit analysis, and electrical codes.
Proficiency in using electrical design software tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP, to create and analyze electrical schematics, layouts, and calculations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose complex electrical issues, develop effective solutions, and optimize system performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate technical concepts effectively, and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and practices to lead project teams, manage schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensure the successful delivery of electrical engineering projects.
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus
