Senior Electrical Estimator

St Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $90k - 130k

Our client is a well-established and growing electrical contractor in the Twin Cities, recognized for long-term client partnerships, strong financial performance, and a collaborative team culture. With steady growth and a history of consistently paying performance bonuses, this organization is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to support commercial, industrial, healthcare, and multi-family projects. This role reports directly to preconstruction leadership and offers high visibility, strong ownership engagement, and meaningful financial upside.

Senior Electrical Estimator Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents; perform accurate material and labor takeoffs using Trimble AccuBid.
  • Solicit, analyze, and level vendor and subcontractor proposals; identify scope gaps, risk exposure, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support design-build and design-assist efforts with real-time pricing insights and constructability feedback.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, field leadership, and ownership to ensure smooth project transition from bid to execution.

Senior Electrical Estimator Qualifications

  • 3–8+ years of electrical estimating experience within a construction contractor environment (contractor-side required).
  • Direct experience using Trimble AccuBid.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, NEC requirements, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office; ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in an in-office, team-oriented environment (flexibility available once established).
