Job Description

  • Prepares electrical and control cost estimates on proposals, bid packages, and projects while ensuring that the content of the estimate is complete, accurate and meets the requirements of the estimate or project plan
  • Ensures bid write-ups are clear and concise through the planning, coordination, review, verification, and analysis of all aspects of estimates and estimate presentation
  • Coordinates and reviews the variable estimating factors in each area with Engineering Operations, Procurement and Fabrication
  • Prepares conceptual Single Line Diagrams and Control System Architecture drawings from PIDs, Scope of Work and Specifications
  • Participates in the selection of the electrical and control equipment for the project
  • Maintains familiarity with estimating and cost engineering developments and activities within the industry and assesses their significance, suggesting application to company business where warranted
