Power & Digital (MPD) department designs FPGAs, circuit cards, and electronics subassemblies for a range of products including missiles/effectors, radars, and electronic warfare systems. The team leverages digital, analog, power, and test design skills to provide support throughout the product lifecycle from architecture and design through production and sustainment.
The MPD department is seeking a Senior Test Support Engineer to join our team.
This position is an onsite role in McKinney, TX
What To Expect
As a Senior Test Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include the following:
Apply domain knowledge of electronic CCA, module, and LRU‑level testing to support development and execution of effective test strategies
Define and implement test solutions that align product performance testing with production acceptance and stress‑screening requirements
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to ensure cohesive and efficient test system development
Translate test requirements into complete, reliable test‑set designs while evaluating peripheral design impacts to ensure accurate and robust test results
Provide product test and troubleshoot support. Support root cause failure investigations
Define schedules and drive execution to the planned budget and schedule
Operate with minimal oversight from manager
Support internal and external technical reviews
Engage in knowledge transfer activities and mentorship of junior engineers
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with test and debug of analog, digital, and mixed‑signal CCAs, modules, LRUs, and/or interconnects for electronic subsystems
Proficiency with test software tools, with strong preference for LabVIEW and the TestStand framework
Experience working in factory environments supporting test‑set integration, validation, release, and final installation/deployment
Experience developing test procedures and providing procurement support
Experience working with standard lab equipment and PXI instruments
Qualifications We Value
One or more advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major. A suitable degree may be counted as 2 years of work experience
Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design for manufacturing, and/or design margin analysis
Experience with requirements development and flow-down of higher-level requirements to lower-level modules or components (CCAs, LRUs, internal and/or externally developed)
Ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with distributed teams across multiple sites
Experience with Python scripting
Experience with a formal design process
Ability to debug and resolve hardware issues during integration and qualification testing
Knowledge of software and/or FPGA code development
Knowledgeable in the lifecycle of DoD products
Willingness to anticipate, drive and foster change
Experience documenting technical topics and presenting to various levels of leadership
Demonstrated ability to lead teams to achieve schedule, budget and technical commitments
Experience mentoring junior engineers
Experience with project management tools such as Earned Value and/or Agile Execution
Proposal development experience

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
