About the Team:
Our Brisbane Building Services team is a well-established, collaborative group within WSP’s national Property and Buildings business. You’ll be joining a great mix of highly experienced, long-standing team members and fresh talent, creating a genuinely supportive and inclusive culture where successes are celebrated together.
The team is delivering a strong pipeline of Tier 1 projects across sectors including Defence, Data Centres, Commercial, Health and Transport, offering plenty of variety and technical challenge. About the Role:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide expertise in electrical design for both single and multi-disciplinary projects. You’ll lead small to medium-sized design packages within larger, complex programmes, ensuring best practice delivery while managing costs and timelines. You will also build strong client relationships and play a key role in developing our Building Services team, contributing to broader strategic goals and the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical design leadership on both single and multi-disciplinary projects across a range of sectors
• Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects to ensure effective and efficient delivery.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
• Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality.
• Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs.
• Contribute to the development and growth of the business unit by supporting strategic goals and initiatives aimed at enhancing overall success.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering;
• 7 to 10+ years’ industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment;
• Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector
• Strong client relationship management and project management skills;
• Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.);
