Overview

As an experienced HV/Grid Electrical Engineer at Linesight, you will support the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects, providing strong technical expertise across HV and grid-related systems.

You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and wider project teams, providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle and helping ensure electrical solutions are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in HV, grid, transmission or utility infrastructure who wants to work on major, technically complex projects.

The Opportunity

In this role you will:

• Provide technical electrical expertise across HV and grid infrastructure projects.
• Support the development, review and coordination of electrical designs and technical requirements.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions, identifying issues and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Provide technical input across project design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with clients, design consultants, contractors, utilities and other project stakeholders.
• Support the resolution of technical queries, design issues and electrical interfaces.
• Monitor electrical works to ensure compliance with relevant technical, quality and safety requirements.
• Support technical risk identification and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in technical meetings, design reviews and project coordination meetings.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and close-out activities as required.
• Provide clear technical reporting and communicate project issues effectively to key stakeholders.

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have approximately 6+ years experience within electrical engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Have strong technical experience within HV, grid, transmission, distribution or utility electrical infrastructure.
• Have experience working on technically complex electrical projects through multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
• Have a strong understanding of electrical systems, design coordination and technical interfaces.
• Have experience working with relevant utilities, network operators, consultants, contractors or engineering organisations.
• Are comfortable reviewing and challenging electrical designs and technical proposals.
• Have experience supporting construction, testing and commissioning of electrical infrastructure.
• Have a degree or relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Have excellent communication skills and can work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Are organised, proactive and comfortable working across multidisciplinary project teams.
