Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer will oversee and manage electrical and ELV installation activities at project sites. The role is responsible for supervising site works, coordinating with MEP and ELV subcontractors and other trades, ensuring work is completed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications, and supporting testing, commissioning and maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in MEP and ELV engineering, with the ability to manage site activities, coordinate multiple teams, review technical documents, plan daily work and ensure compliance with quality, safety and project requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor all electrical and ELV installation works at project sites.
• Ensure electrical and ELV works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.
• Coordinate electrical and ELV activities with other MEP services, subcontractors, consultants and site workers.
• Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to avoid clashes, delays and interference with electrical and ELV installations.
• Review electrical and ELV shop drawings, technical submittals, material specifications and installation details.
• Monitor the progress and quality of electrical and ELV installation works and ensure compliance with approved standards.
• Prepare and communicate daily work plans and task schedules for site teams.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure materials are available on site according to the construction schedule.
• Monitor subcontractor and workforce performance and provide technical guidance when required.
• Inspect completed installations and identify defects, discrepancies and non-conformities.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in MEP and ELV engineering.
• Practical experience in electrical and ELV installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance.
• Experience in design review, technical drawing coordination and interpretation of electrical and ELV drawings.
• Experience supervising site teams, subcontractors and installation activities.
• Experience working in a construction or MEP project environment is highly desirable.
