Uber is launching AV Labs to accelerate the autonomous technology ecosystem. We're building out a high-velocity team of multi-disciplinary experts to turn real-world operations into high-quality data for our autonomous partners. This team is focused on the hardest problem in AV today: unlocking real-world, long-tail driving data. Our AV Labs Hardware team is pioneering the next-generation E/E architecture for our cutting-edge L4 data collection vehicle fleet. As a Senior Electrial Engineer, you will lead the architecture, design, and vehicle integration of complex wiring systems from early concept through to mass production. In this role, you will tackle the unique challenges of bridging high-voltage/low-voltage power distribution with high-performance computing platforms and safety-critical sensors (LiDARs, Radars, and Cameras). Your expertise will directly optimize signal integrity, ensure power redundancy, and guarantee the flawless data transmission required to safely operate driverless vehicles in complex urban environments.
For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $180,000 per year - USD $200,000 per year.
