About the Role

Fyfe is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Infrastructure Team based in Sydneyto lead major projects and deliver innovative, high-quality technical solutions for clients in the utility, renewable and data centre sectors.

We a re looking for a hands-on HV Electrical Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-voltage and medium-voltage solutions, including interface connections with utility providers.

You'll report to the Team Lead and join a small specialist team where your HV expertise will help support broader electrical project teams across the business. You'll contribute to a growing pipeline of major infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

• Lead and deliver HV/MV electrical design and documentation across a diverse project portfolio across the following engineering scopes:
  • HV / MV networks (typically 11kV–33kV)
  • Substations and private HV reticulation for client sites
  • Transformers, RMUs, HV switchboards
  • HV generators and distribution systems
• Prepare feasibility studies, business cases, technical reports, systems modelling and calculations
• Apply industry-standard power systems software to complete studies, modelling and design work
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide technical input for mission-critical facilities, transportation and complex infrastructure projects

What You Bring

• Proven experience in High Voltage / Medium Voltage electrical design
• Strong working knowledge of AS 2067
• Demonstrated experience in earth grid design
• Competency in power systems software, including SKM Power Tools and ETAP
• Confidence contributing across all project phases, from concept and schematic design through to detailed delivery
• Experience in working on complex infrastructure projects is highly regarded
• Collaborative approach and clear communication style when working with engineers, clients and consultants
