What you'll do:

Joining an established Mining team, you'll be supporting a diverse range of brownfield and sustaining capital projects across Australia. You’ll play a key role in delivering engineering solutions for our mining clients across multiple commodities, working within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment. This is a design-focused position, ideal for an engineer who thrives in developing engineering solutions from concept through detailed design.

• Lead and produce electrical engineering designs, calculations, and documentation for mining and heavy industrial projects

• Develop single line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, protection schemes, and electrical modelling

• Provide technical input across feasibility, concept, and detailed design phases

• Oversee and review work by junior and intermediate engineers

• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and process engineering teams

• Ensure designs meet relevant Australian Standards, safety requirements, and client specifications

• Support project delivery including design reviews, risk assessments, and quality assurance processes
  

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience, ideally within mining, resources, or heavy industrial sectors

• Strong background in electrical design for processing plants, materials handling, or mining infrastructure

• Solid understanding of Australian Standards, particularly AS/NZS 3000 and mining electrical requirements

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills

• CPEng or working toward chartership is highly regarded
