Job Description

Greenvolt Next is committed to the Distributed Energy Generation, as this is one of the main axes of energy transition and key to reduce the costs of energy bills. We have partnerships across Europe relying on local knowledge and market expertise.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to lead the technical delivery of large-scale Solar PV projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PV system design and installation, with a solid understanding of industry standards and codes. Experience in civil works for carport systems is desirable but not essential. This role demands a technically excellent professional who can ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage engineering design and technical execution of Solar PV projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Review and approve detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications for PV systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC, EN, and local regulations.
  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and quality assurance documentation.
  • Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, resource planning, and cost control.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Solar PV engineering and project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of PV system design, grid connection, and electrical protection schemes.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering principles for carport structures (desirable).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Project.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant standards and codes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
