Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to take ownership of electrical design across a variety of projects. This role involves leading design efforts, mentoring staff, and ensuring seamless coordination with other disciplines and external clients. The ideal candidate is a licensed PE with proven experience in healthcare, education, commercial, federal, and light industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design process on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and project requirements.
Mentor and advise electrical staff, fostering professional growth and technical development.
Prepare high-quality design documents and coordinate QA/QC reviews prior to deadlines.
Monitor project progress, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
Collaborate with Project Managers to align staffing, budget, and manpower needs.
Participate in interviewing prospective team members and provide feedback on hiring decisions.
Engage with clients to strengthen relationships and encourage repeat business.
Support multi-disciplinary coordination with internal teams and external consultants.
Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with ~10 years of experience.
Expertise in electrical design for healthcare, education, commercial, federal, and light industrial projects.
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and project deadlines effectively.
Professional Development
Maintain professional registration through outside education as required.
Complete 10 hours annually of company-provided continuing education (discipline training or approved external training).
Vendor training encouraged to remain current with industry technology (not included in in-house CE hours).
