Senior Electrical Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Hybrid – 1 day per week (Tuesday or Thursday)

Compensation

• 6–9 years experience: $105,000 – $135,000
• 10–20 years experience: $115,000 – $150,000
• Senior Technical / Lead-level exceptions: Up to $165,000 for advanced technical leadership roles

Final compensation is based on experience, technical depth, and leadership scope.

Role Snapshot

This is a senior-level electrical engineering role with a strong focus on mission-critical facilities, including complex new construction and renovation projects. You’ll lead the electrical discipline on assigned projects, coordinate across multiple disciplines, interface directly with clients, and mentor engineers and designers. This role blends hands-on design with leadership, quality control, and client-facing responsibility.

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing and leading electrical systems for multi-discipline projects, with a heavy emphasis on mission-critical infrastructure. The role includes system design, drawing and specification development, coordination across disciplines, and acting as the Lead Electrical Engineer to ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for new construction and renovation projects supporting mission-critical facilities
• Collaborate with clients to understand goals, constraints, and success criteria
• Develop and evaluate design options, guiding clients toward informed decisions
• Lead the electrical discipline through conceptual design, equipment selection, construction documents, specifications, and energy modeling
• Coordinate architectural, mechanical, civil, and technology disciplines to deliver code-compliant, constructable designs
• Produce and review drawing markups, calculations, and specifications for quality and accuracy
• Manage client expectations throughout the design process
• Communicate with internal teams, external consultants, and vendors to meet project objectives and schedules
• Serve as the owner’s representative during construction, including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and site inspections
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in the MEP industry
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively on track to obtain
