Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical engineering with a focus on designing, implementing, and optimizing electrical systems and infrastructure within a manufacturing environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to drive complex projects to successful completion.
The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $160,000 - $200,000. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems and components for manufacturing equipment and facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Manage and oversee electrical engineering projects from conception through to execution. This includes planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving for electrical systems and equipment. Analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure that all electrical systems and components adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Develop and enforce best practices for electrical design and safety.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff. Provide technical direction and support to ensure successful project execution and professional development of team members.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for electrical systems, including design specifications, schematics, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing teams, and external vendors to integrate electrical systems with mechanical, controls, and automation systems.
- Drive innovation by researching and applying new technologies and methodologies to improve electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on electrical systems, safety practices, and maintenance procedures.
Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree or advanced certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are advantageous.
- -Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Proven track record in managing complex projects and leading engineering teams.
- Expertise in electrical system design, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, MATLAB).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and address complex electrical issues.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Experience with industrial electrical systems and equipment, including motors, drives, and transformers.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Position will require travel up to 20%
