Job Description

Kiewit Mexico is a company dedicated to providing engineering, procurement, and construction management services. Kiewit Mexico offers construction management and engineering services in a variety of markets, including energy, oil, gas, chemicals, terminals, marine works, and mining.

Responsibilities

  • Develop schematics and on-line drawings from engineering sketches or mark-ups
  • Gathers information needed to develop design and verify voltage separation requirements are met.
  • Model electrical components using vendor submittals and electrical designs.
  • Creates plan drawings and details for electrical deliverables.
  • Develops 3D models utilizing drawings, sketches, and designs skills.
  • Check and navigates in the 3D model for interferences and constructability.
  • Routes electrical cables in a 3D environment to generate a cable schedule.
  • Complete As-Builts by utilizing Request for Information (RFI) forms, Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and red-lines drawings from construction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 15 years of experience designing electrical systems and knowledge of electrical industry standards and regulations.
  • Mid to advanced English level required: Good reading, writing, listening and speaking (fluent conversation) knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and application of current version of the NOM-001-SEDE.
  • Experience with Navisworks, Microstation, SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant lnstrumentation visual,Lightning, Dialux, Sizer Cable Calculation.
  • Familiarity with specification requirements and electrical installation details of construction material lists and equipment.
  • Able to design duct bank, embedded conduit, cable tray, grounding, lightning and lighting systems from concept to completion utilizing engineering documents.
